I want it to be this simple.... but it is not.
Hate is not ignorant. On a geo-political scale it takes planning, timing, energy, movement, laws... to enact the kinds of hate the republican/conservative cult has leaned on to north america, as other right-wing parties are leaning on the other nations of the world right now.
They are many things but they cannot be ignorant, to have been able to take it this far.
...there needs to be something about Apathy in this formula.
@Rural_Canadian @petep44 I think it's simpler. Fire up ignorant people with fear (of immigrants, left wingers or whatever), they're gonna hate.

I'm not gonna argue about the power to fire people up with hate. We see it daily in our "news"media. I agree.
...I guess I'm thinking more about the people who harness and use that hate to create the right-wing dystopian political parties that now threaten our democracies worldwide.
